Pam Robertson

Managing Director & IP Optometrist

After a few years working as a student at a local opticians practice, Pam studied at Glasgow Caledonian University and graduated in 1999 with a first class honours degree in Optometry. She became registered with the General Optical Council in 2000, working in a variety of environments including practices small and large before setting up Angus Optix Ltd in 2005.

She attained registration as an Independent Prescriber in 2011, and is currently studying at University of Edinburgh to achieve an MSc in Primary Care Ophthalmology.

When not at work, she is an honorary lecturer with University of Dundee and takes annual trips with a link project to a university in Makassar, South Sulawesi, Indonesia where she teaches other eye care professionals.

Kirsty Robertson

Practice Manager & Dispensing Optician

Kirsty and Pam have known each other for many years – they first met when working together in a practice in Dundee in 2002. Kirsty qualified as a Dispensing Optician in 2003 and registered with the General Optical Council in 2004. She joined the practice in 2013 and was promoted to Practice Manager in 2014.

When not working, Kirsty enjoys going to the gym and spending time with friends and family.

Nicola Martin

Optometrist

Nicola joined the practice in 2014 following a career with a large chain of opticians. When she joined Angus Optix, she wanted a change of direction with an independently run practice which offered a range of services within a small community.

She qualified from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2009 with BSc Hons in Optometry and registered with the General Optical Council in 2010. She additionally gained Independent Prescriber status in 2018, which means she is able to treat and prescribe for acute eye conditions.

When not working, Nicola enjoys spending time with her family on the West Coast of Scotland.

Carol Skea

Clinical Assistant

Carol joined Angus Optix in 2012 when the practice relocated to their current premises. She has since achieved an SVQ in Optical Care and finds that her favourite role in the practice is helping patients with frame styling and choice.

When not at work, she is a hands on mum

Choosing your glasses

Once your eye test has been completed, your results will be handed over to our dispensing optician or a clinical assistant to help you choose the right glasses and take any measurements associated with this.

We have a wide range of frames and lenses to choose from, suiting many different styles and budgets.

It is important that you choose a pair of glasses that you feel happy with, and we will make any minor alterations to the frames to ensure they fit properly and a comfortable to wear.
